While assigned to marked police unit East One, in full police uniform, on the above date and time I was dispatched to the Laquinta Inn located at 23 Cumming St., Room number 421 for a report of two males that have been loud and appeared to be intoxicated. Upon arrival, along with Officer Kevin Goulart, I spoke with the General Manager XXXXX who stated there have been noise complaints for room # 421 and when she asked the parties in the room to quiet down they appeared to be intoxicated and the individual who rented the room YYYYY wanted his friend to leave. Officer Goulart and I went up to room #421 and when I knocked on the door, two individuals later identified as YYYYY and Alfred Garo opened the door and YYYYY asked if we would come in, as he was having a problem with his friend. I asked the friend in question for his name and he stated, ” I don’t have to give you my name”, and then stated to YYYYY to not let us in and shut the door. We were now in the hallway and we separated the individuals and I spoke with YYYYY. YYYYY stated that he wanted his friend to leave. I then approached Mr. Garo and told him he would have to leave for the night. Mr. Garo appeared to be intoxicated. I asked YYYYY to enter the room and retrieved Mr. Garo’s belongings. Officer Goulart and I were attempting to escort Mr. Garo from the building and while in the lobby, I asked him to step away from the elevator as other patrons of the hotel were trying to check in and use the elevator. Mr. Garo refused and began to yell obscenities, screaming “fuck you, you fat pig, I just got out of jail today!” The other patrons attention was drawn to Mr. Garo. Several more people came down the hall to see what the loud noise was. Mr. Garo now walked towards the 99 restaurant and continued to yell obscenities and threats toward me. He stated he would do harm to my wife and daughter. Sergeant Chris Ward arrived and at that time I placed Mr. Garo into custody for Disorderly Conduct. At no time did Mr. Garo provide his name to me. I gained that information at the booking window.
