The Somerville Mobile Farmers’ Market, with the mission of bringing weekly produce markets to underserved areas of the city,
is entering its fifth year! A critical feature of this market is a matching program which doubles the purchasing power of low-income residents in the city to make fresh, healthy food affordable. To help supplement the grant money given to us by Project Bread and Whole Foods, we are holding a fundraiser and a kick-off market in partnership with Groundwork Somerville– whose Green Team Youth program grows food for sale at the Mobile Market! Come join others who care about healthy food and bring a shopping bag because while you are there, you can buy some delicious some produce from the Green Team!
